How long does it take to craft an engagement ring?

Upon confirmation of an order, our master jewellers will craft your piece in your desired design and materials. To ensure exceptional craftsmanship, the estimated time for completion can be advised based on your selection. Please contact us to discuss your options.

Does ADC work with a range of precious gems?

Yes. While we are well known for our exceptional bridal diamond pieces, the team of jewellers at ADC also offer their expertise in precious gems such as rubies, sapphires, emeralds, tourmalines and so on. Please see our care guide for more information about coloured gems.

Do I have to book an appointment to visit the showroom?

Appointments are required for all jewellery purchases, after sales services such as scheduled maintenance/inspections, order collections, ring resizing, repairs, remodels, valuations, and rhodium plating. This is to ensure a diamond specialist will be available to assist you.

How does the custom design process work?

Our on-site workshop and team of skilled jewellers enables our clients to take creative control of their special creation. No matter the occasion, we welcome creativity and offer our expertise to guide your selection. To begin the bespoke process, we invite you to meet with one of our diamond specialists for a personal consultation.

Can ADC use my existing diamonds that are not purchased from ADC?

Not in every case. Our commitment to quality means our precious gems undergo a strict selection criteria to ensure exceptional results. While we appreciate the sentimentality of stones sourced through family heirlooms and the like, we cannot guarantee the quality of such gems.

Does ADC offer insurance for my jewellery?

ADC understands your jewellery is of significant sentimental value. That’s why we have partnered with industry leading insurance companies to provide our clients with an policy that is specifically tailored to your jewellery items. Upon purchase, you may speak to a diamond specialist to discover more about the cover available to you.

Why can’t I get a quote over the phone or email for a diamond?

As each diamond is unique in quality and appearance, we cannot provide fixed quotes for diamonds against a budget or the 4Cs over the phone or in email. In our showroom, we demonstrate the unique characteristics of each diamond with our expertise and specialty equipment. This precise level of detail cannot be expressed over the phone or in an email and only serves to create a relationship of pricing against a certificate. By viewing diamonds in person, you are equipped with the insight and confidence required to make an informed decision.

Does ADC offer pieces to suit non-bridal occasions?

Does ADC deal in second-hand goods?

No. As our commitment to quality is the cornerstone of our success, we do not buy, sell or trade in second-hand goods. This policy includes the purchase of diamonds, gems and materials purchased from ADC.

Does ADC offer any type of warranty?

Each ADC creation is accompanied by a lifetime warranty, guaranteeing protection against any workmanship-related issues. Our commitment to maintaining the integrity of your piece extends to providing complimentary assessments and cleaning services at our showroom. However, please be aware that our warranty does not cover damage resulting from impacts or loss.

What maintenance services are included in my purchase?

These services typically take around 15 minutes and are designed to ensure the ongoing quality and craftsmanship of your piece. How should I care for my jewellery?

Can diamonds fall out of my diamond jewellery?

Yes, stones can become loose by general wear and tear or by claw becoming damaged. By avoiding impact damage to your special pieces, you minimise the risk of a diamond loosening from the setting and falling out. As each diamond is set in precious metal, it is important to protect precious stones from impact damage and wear.

How do I have my ADC ring cleaned?

Pieces purchased at ADC can be professionally cleaned and polished as a complimentary service. Simply book an appointment for a scheduled maintenance so our diamond specialists can assist you with the service of your ring.

Can I wear my rings or jewellery everyday?

Every ADC creation serves as a reminder of something special. We encourage our clients to wear their pieces as often as desired, while being mindful to remove jewellery when performing manual tasks or coming into contact with harsh chemicals, lotions, perfumes and surfaces that may impact the condition of rings and other jewellery pieces.

Can I remodel my existing ADC piece?

Yes. ADC offers a unique bespoke service that allows clients to remodel their existing pieces. This process begins in our specialised remodel consultation where you can meet with a diamond specialist and designer to discuss your options to ensure the ideal outcome.

Are all your diamonds certified?

Most of our inventory is certified by independent laboratories, however, we also offer un-certified diamonds depending on what a customer is looking for.

Who are your diamonds certified by?

ADC offers diamond certified by Argyle, Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and the International Gemological Institute (IGI).

Do you sell lab grown diamonds?

ADC offers both natural and lab-grown diamonds.

How can I maintain my scheduled maintenance if I don’t live in Victoria?

If your item is still within its warranty period, we can arrange a collection and a delivery back to you within Australia only for your scheduled maintenance.
